Let’s face it – a lot of baby gear out there doesn’t make sense. Some of the “must-have” items are actually bulky, expensive, & uncomfortable. The travel system? Give me a break! I encourage every pregnant woman I know to plan on baby-wearing until their child reaches the umbrella stroller stage. That’s what we did and saved so much hassle & money! No bumping the awkward gigantic stroller into racks in stores. No searching out the elevators or moving chairs out of the way at restaurants to get a tiny 8lb baby’s belongings out of others’ way.

Let me get off my soapbox to say that the infant bucket seat is pretty inevitable. It’s easy to snap in to the base of a car. It’s convenient for transport in restaurants and other establishments, when one wants to leave baby right where they are – comfy, cozy, & hopefully snoozing! 

Our one year-old tot is still in his infant seat, rear-facing because he’s on the small side. He’s too heavy to lug around in the seat on a regular basis, though. Let’s be honest – after about 10lbs, those seats become quite the hassle! There isn’t a super efficient or ergonomic way to carry that thing, and we are forced to bear the weight on our forearms…right in our tender elbow-pits! So what’s a parent to do?

Enter, Padalily!

This North Carolina-based company boasts a mom-invented plush wrap for carseat handles. It uses Velcro to attach around the handle, making for a much more comfortable carry. It’s available in several prints, and all of them are reversible – how stylish?! And let’s hear it for Carolina companies!

Christopher is almost always responsible for carrying the infant seat, but there are times I have to lug the thing around on my own. Padalily sent us a cute wrap review… it is called, “Rocker Chic.” One side has guitar lingo on it, and the other side is cute prints of rock stars. Definitely perfect for our musically-inclined family!

When using the Padalily, I notice a definite difference. No more cramps in my arms, and I can carry my boy around in his seat for a lot longer without getting tired!

In fact, I even know what it’ll look like. Cute, right?!
